That's about the long and short of it. I've always struggled with making friends, especially in MMOs. I'd either just power level my way to get through tough content because I was scared to ask for help, or just stick to story content exclusively. I'm usually terrified of asking other people to help, or even play with me. Anxiety stuff makes it hard to reach out, because I worry I'll be shamed for it somehow. But today when I queued for a dungeon I didn't understand at all, one the people there patiently explained what to do. When I couldn't heal them as fast, they didn't complain and even took the blame even though I was sure I was in the wrong. At the end of it, had a nice chat and got a friend request. I'm not exactly brand new to the game, but I still feel inexperienced, and it felt like they knew that. Basically, I think this game is gonna be special to me, because making a friend that feels like a friend is rare to me. Shows me a game's community is really nice.
