I Know Shadowbringers Is Almost Over, But I Want To Rant About Dark Knight Leveling In 5.0

Most people agree that a lot of classes feel awkward to play when synced down to lower levels. I feel as though Pre-72 Dark Knight not only is the epitome of this, but I also feel that SE dropped the ball entirely when it comes to DRK's leveling kit. Some skills come have no business being given as late as they are (stalwart soul at 72), and some are just downright insulting (2nd Plunge charge at level 78).

Some are utilities that other classes already received several levels earlier, like how Gunbreaker's Heart of Light is received at 64, while Dark Knight's functionally identical move Dark Missionary is given at 76.

I think what I personally would consider the worst offender is Quietus. A move that is functionally worthless for two straight levels, and still not often used for another two levels.

For non-dark knight players, here is my explanation:

At level 64, a player would get Quietus, a 210 potency AoE. That's pretty great right? A good shot up from Unleash, which is 150.

Well no its not because it costs 50 blood gauge to use, and the only way to generate blood at this level is to do your Souleater combo, which isn't the best idea when you need to be AoE-ing three or more enemies.

It's probably not until two levels later that you'll actually see this move in combat, when at level 66 blood weapon starts building 10 blood for every hit. At this point you'll be able to use quietus, a GCD move you've had for two levels, at least once a minute. Except not always because newer players wont time blood weapon properly, and because unleash is classified as a spell and not a weaponskill and thus is completely unaffected by Skill Speed so the first time you apply blood weapon you'll probably only get fort- IM GETTING OFF TRACK.

It's not until you unlock Delirium at level 68 when you can really put a GCD skill that you've had for four levels to meaningful use. And that's pretty freaking terrible from a design perspective.

Honestly, blood weapon's trait and Quietus should switch levels. And also while I have your attention Blood Weapon should just get the Perfect Balance treatment and just effect the next 5 attacks for a duration. Dark Knight has been my favorite class since Heavensward and the treatment it got in what was marketed as the 'Dark Knight expansion' is pretty.... not great. I love the 80 kit, but before 70 the class feelsbadman.

I don't know how to end these. Soken is a Primal and you can't prove me wrong.
