I Fixed A Technical Issue - "unexpected Error Occured 6a" - Also Sometimes Posted In Japanese.

I don't know if this is the right spot for this, but as no one tends to update their Tech Support threads, I couldn't find a single answer to this question I've spent the last two days battling.

For the last few days I've been getting the error from the title - my game, depending on how my settings were last updated, my game would crash at launch and instantly close. I would get two different messages - the one from the title or what I'm assuming is that same message but in japanese. Nothing would work - I tried changing fullscreen settings, reinstalled the game 3 seperate times, changed launch options, updated graphics cards, etc. No one else seems to have fixed their issue so I decided to post this here and try to help.



Turns out it's incredibly simple. Literally all you need to do is delete the Final Fantasy game folder under Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy. Of course, when I attempted this I would get an error message - "OneDrive Error 0x8007016A: The Cloud File Provider is Not Running," and of course needed to find a fix for that. Go to My pc, on the left side where the Quick Access bar is, you should see OneDrive. Right click, go to settings, turn off "Save space and download files as you use them."



This should allow you to delete files without an issue, and when you launch the game next the file should be recreated. This fixed the issue for me. Hope this helps whichever poor soul is next - I already saw and notified someone on the FF14 message board on how to fix this.
