I Feel Like If Monk Does Get A Rework Next Expansion, Some Of Their Baseline Animations...

Primarily, 3 animations feel as if they are an awkward pause during combat:


  • True Strike


  • Twin Snakes


  • Snap Punch

Whereas Bootshine really feels like it has a satisfying impact and Dragonkick feels really snappy and flows well, True Strike feels like this oddly slow attack that hits with a "waft/puff" instead of an actual hit followed by the character no moving for an extended period of time. Twin Snakes has more of an impact, but the arm animation feels awkward and as if it hangs a little too long at an awkward angle with the weapons. The same could be said for Snap Punch, it doesn't feel snappy. It feels like a slow fist bump to the opponent with a strange post attack pose.

The rest of the monks catalog of moves feels really nice and flow together well. They all have impact, but these particular abilities feel like an out of place in the fast pace. I believe they could benefit for perhaps giving them a slightly more "active" animation.

If this is just my opinion being off base, please let me know.
