In the light of Arthars getting banned for player harassment over their performance, I see a lot in the comments that people fear being banned because of telling other players about getting better in the game and the use of parsing. Parsing in FFXIV is fine as long as you do not harass other players about their performance. It's a completely different story if you ask for the other player's consent to give them feedback, and give them a constructive opinion about basic things they can improve. I struggled with that for a while as a mentor in mentor roulette and other content and wanted to find a solution to this to make my own game experience and others better.
I'm grinding mentor roulette as a tank for the astrope mount (nearly 1500 roulettes complete), but I'm a dps (NIN) main and I play a wide variety of classes in all content. I do savage and ultimate content as NIN. Full disclosure : I use parsers in all content as well. In casual content, I use this information to check if something is just outright wrong with someone, for example are there skills that they are not using for the level of content (ex : DRK not using salted earth) or are they using skills wrong (ex : WHM spamming cure 2 or 3 for no reason and getting MP starved real quick). If I have feedback to give, first and foremost, I ask for consent. If they don't give it, I just move on. If they give me consent, I focus on skill usage and positioning. I never talk about numbers.
A good example I have in mind is a mentor roulette I did in Doma Castle back in Stormblood. There was a SMN in the party and I noticed their numbers were really low. I payed attention to what they were doing and noticed that they didn't bane their dots over targets, they also didn't use Shadow Flare (back when it existed) and they single targeted everything. After the first boss, I stopped and asked for their consent to get some feedback. They accepted. Took 2 minutes to tell them about their AoE tools, went back at it and everything died faster. They gave me a comm and a thanks at the end for taking the time to give them feedback, because nobody else would.
I would only give more advanced feedback if the duty we are doing corresponds to that (an EX primal or a savage raid for example), and if consent is provided. In all casual content, I only focus on things that are blatantly wrong. Not everybody in the game cares about being a top performer, and it's important to respect that. I focus on people that want to get better. I suggest you do the same and ignore those who don't care.
