I love FFXIV, or at least I used to. I still think it's an amazing game, but I've found myself not playing very much at all ever since I stopped raiding as part of a static. Pretty much everyone I know in game is from that old static, and they're only ever on for raid, so the lack of social interaction is making it hard to stay invested in logging in.
A friend recently had a similar problem and world transferred to a completely different data center to start from scratch and that worked for them. I guess I'm just not sure what to do to get invested in the game. Feels weird leaving the old fc and stuff, but want to meet new people and get active again.
Has anybody on here been in a similar position? If so, how did it work out for you/how did you get back in?
