Topic:

1.) How do you deal with this part of the User Interface?

2.) Why do you think it is absolutely necessary to be informed, in the middle of the screen where you are, when your retainers have returned, and every other redundant thing that gets placed directly in the middle of the screen?

3.) Why do you think having the option to turn this off would absolutely ruin the game and its 100% sensible, that Square-Enix has refused to add this option 7+ years into the games life.

4.) How does this constant flood of useless information not irritate you?

5.) Do you enjoy the sound of a fly constantly buzzing in your ear?

FFXIV can be a fun game, and it has the potential of being much much better with little to next to no effort.

... but when there are things such as this in the game how do you deal with the senseless aspects of this game that literally serve no purpose at all whatsoever and flood the game with needless redundancy and pointlessness?

To me, it feels like they put a literal "bug" in the game. Like a fly that constantly buzzes in your ear every time you visit Eorzea.

Not to mention that person telling someone to put it on a hot plate, when you're in a crowded area.

No I am not the only one who notices these things, but I am one of the very few who will not let it go. Because, well, the game wont let go of letting me know where I am and what I'm doing every 5 seconds or less.

Here are a few examples. Over 60% of the people who commented and interacted with these posts have all since quit. (Post history is years old, and character level indicates inactivity.)

When you sign into Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn, the center of your screen is constantly being bombarded.

All of which happened in less than 55 seconds of gameplay.

I am not sure why this is needed.

1. It could easily be placed in the chat log if absolutely requied by someone. Not directly in the middle of the screen.
2. Having this seems to imply:

-Someone is missing/unable to use the mini map
-Someone is missing/unable to use the regular map
-Someone is missing/unable to read the chat log
-Someone is unaware by zone line, black screen and "now loading" icon that they are changing zones.

This stems much further into other aspects of gameplay, that could easily be placed in the chat log, if not added to an option to entirely remove.

"Retainer name has sold X item in the Location markets for # of gil (after fees)"
"Changes saved"
"Duty Registration Complete"
"Duty Commenced" (As well as sounds to notify the player)
"Quest Accepted" (As well as sounds to notify the player)
"Quest Complete"(As well as sounds to notify the player)
"The Cattery"
"You are doused with Poison"
"You hear something move in the distance"
"The Cattery will be sealed off in 15 seconds"
"The Cattery is sealed off"
"The Cattery is no longer sealed"
"The Loot list has been updated" (or whatever it says)
"A hidden door opens"

This implies:

-Someone is unable to see/use the status bar
-Someone is unable to see/use the loot system/notification/system
-Someone is unable to see/use the duty list system

The list goes on and on.

Please allow this to be removed, placed in the chat box, or added to the custom HUD system to move it out of the middle of the screen.
