I just started playing FFXIV and really wanted to unlock the samurai and gunbreaker classes. This then led to me frantically rushing to 47 in a few days mostly ignoring the storyline. I feel some regret at this and would like to know wtf is going on around me, hence my plea to Reddit. If someone could tldr the 1-50 MSQ story I would be much appreciated. From what I've bothered to observe so far, the main character joins the waking sands, gets sent to do stuff, they all die, then the empire shows up with ancient death centaur to wage war.
