Hey there. I am hoping this is met with some enthusiasm amd understanding. But I get how reddit works, I'll take downvotes if need be. Here goes. I am about a month and a half into this game. This is my first MMORPG. I am also playing on PS4 with a controller. I am to the point in the game where some mechanics went over my head and I feel they are neccesarry. I also get bitched at in dungeons now that I am level 50 and apparantly do things wrong. I really want to get better and not piss other players off. I am currently a level 55 Warrior with all the equipment on from the last Warrior Quest Storylines. Armor level average is 73 currently. I have finished the main quest line of A Realm Reborn and now have to start tackling hard dungeon and making my way to Ishgard. But twice my party in a dungeon have reamed me for being a shitty tank. I don't want to be. So far I have been balancing my defensive cooldowns ok, have Defiance stance on, Beast Gauge can get to 100 max right now. My strategy had been to just spam Overpower since someone specifically told me that was my job in a raid before. Seemed to work for a while. Now I guess I'm shitty again lol. I have not messed with ANY other job. Ive never crafted or messed with materia. Do I need to start now? One quest im on now requires me to meld a battle dance 3 materia to a bardice. No clue. Is that how I can get better armor and weapons? Is there a place to buy them? Or all just dungeon random drops? Most the loot i run into is usually a red negative stat number meaning lesser than what i currently use right? Just seems like im missing a huge part. Can someone please give me some pointers? Good combos or what I should actuallg be doing in dungeons as a level 55 warrior. Maybe a good combo of actions to use? Point my dumb ass in the right direction atleast? Ive googled the shit out of guides but most of them are full of acronyms and terms i have no clue what they mean either. Faking it til I make it quit working at lvl 55 lol. Sorry for the TLDR.
