You guys are seriously underrated.
My husband and I are still sprouts. We often play a tank/healer combo, not because of queue times, but because we genuinely enjoy those roles. Once we know what we're doing, it definitely has its advantages -- being able to talk across the room and go "OK babe, all my shields are down" or "That was all my cooldowns, might wanna pot" is super handy.
Except right now, we *don't* know what we're doing most times, so we're compounding noobness on noobness.
This is where the veteran DPS comes in.
We've overall had such good experiences with this community. Be it things like pointing the way in a confusing dungeon layout, to the person who said simply "Esune the tank" on the ... poison ... dragon ... thingie ... (I did say I was a sprout, and definitely something I should have been looking out for but was flailing around too hard to.)
I've even had two very congenial veteran DPS wait while I restarted after my mouse software crapped itself on the Garuda fight, and after failing abysmally at trying to click compensate (all my main heals are on my mouse for a reason) they cheerfully explained unrelated game mechanics to the husband while I was doing my restart thing.
