Hades Ex Mechanics (spoilers Obviously)

It dead about 2 hours ago. The totem looks damn cool.

Made for my FC mostly but sharing anyway. Correct me if I got anything wrong, pulled it from our clear vid (PLD) (dirty and unoptimized). Alternative ranged POV.

Phase 1 - Hades

  • Shadow Spread - protean
  • Bad Faith - cleaves 2 diagonally opposite quadrants (e.g. NE and SW)
  • Ravenous Assault - tank buster with vuln
  • Arcane Utterance - blue doors shoot lasers. two ways to find the safe spot:
    • Look for the spot without a door and go directly opposite it
    • Look for the direction the door in the middle is facing and go opposite it
  • Broken Faith - falling circles just like normal

Phase 2A - Shades

  • Combo mechanic
    • Tanks: 2 sets of 4 meteors going clockwise from N/S
    • DPS: each get tethered to a shade that does an aoe + vuln. Don't hit each other or the tanks
  • Combo mechanic
    • Tanks: targeted aoe with vuln
    • Healers: stack mechanic
  • Quake III - just aoe

Phase 2B - Lahabrea/Igeyorhm Shades

  • Fire/ice mechanic
    • Blue debuff - hit Lahabrea
    • Red debuff - hit Igeyorhm
    • Tanks be ready to swap and keep them far or they get a damage+
    • 4 will get randomly tethered to fire/ice shades. Trade tethers so you aren't holding a tether of the same color.
    • Blizzard IV/Fire IV - basic tankbusters
    • Blizzard Sphere/Fire Sphere - debuff swap, so swap shades
  • DPS check/enrage is a bit after the Sphere swap

Phase 2C - Ascian Prime's Shade

  • Universal Manipulation
  • Tanks and healers get:
    • Doom - fully heal to remove
    • Ancient Circle - donut aoe centered on you
    • Cursed Shriek - looking at end of timer = petrify
  • DPS get:
    • Beyond Death - have to die
    • Forked Lightning - does damage around you
    • Off-balance- get knocked back after taking damage

More mechanics

  • Blight - raidwide with 30s dot
  • Height of Chaos - aoe tankbuster, no swap
  • Megiddo Flame - 2 line stack aoe on healers
  • Shadow Flare - raidwide
  • Ancient Eruption - 2 randoms get followed by 3 small aoes

Phase 3 - Hades

  • 2 sets of 4 meteors again
    • Captivity - randomly gaols a healer during meteors
  • Wail of the Lost
    • Healers get stack markers
    • 4 randoms get ice marker
    • Everyone gets knocked back from the center of the arena and the markers resolve
  • Again the Abyssal Celebrant (all resolve at the end of Bident cast)
    • Line floor aoes from boss which get hit by 3 waves of aoe
    • Line stack markers on healers (can be survived with two)
    • 2 get random targeted aoe
    • 2 sets of 3 random bleed puddles
  • Dark Seal
    • 4 red balls that expand into aoe
    • Shadow Stream - line aoe down center

Phase 4 - Hades (Enrage)

  • Dark Current - exaflares in alternating rows from left/right
  • Gigantomachy - raidwide
  • Quadrastrike
    • Raidwide
    • Two tank towers on east/west
    • Raidwide + bleed
  • He repeats the above one more time then does Gigantomachy (enrage cast)

Uptime/optimization notes

  • Non-tanks can survive 1 meteor without a heal so you could presumably have healers/ranged/casters take the far ones when it causes tanks to lose uptime
  • Probably want PLD to hallowed the meteors when one healer is in Captivity so the other healer can focus on the other tank
  • PLD definitely will want to have Req going into P2 so mind if your party is killing P1 too fast for you to regen enough MP back. Consider trading HS for atones.
