GNB and DRK gap closers feel and look awful to play

I understand that they wanted to remove the gap closer potencies, but couldn't they just use the original animations? The original GNB and DRK gap closers felt and were sharp and fast. But the new ones have a terrible animation lock almost as bad as Reaper's Ingress, and we can't press any GCDs for a good 1 second or so. I have been staying away from using the gap closers for this very reason- it harms more than it does good unless the distance to be closed is ridiculously high.

Please, if the potencies are to be removed, at the very least put back the original animations but have it do not damage, thank you. This doesn't feel good to play.
