Hi everyone. I'm sure you guys get these sorts of questions before every patch but I couldn't find much info specifically in regards to prepping for 5.4 as a new level 80. I started this game a few months ago and just hit the level cap, and a week out from the patch I'm not sure what I should be doing. I already bought a set of ilvl 480 Neo-Ishgardian gear, but what now?
I've never experienced a patch change while I've been playing and the whole idea of phasing out tomestones is confusing to me (as well as endgame gearing in general). I'm hoping you guys can clarify things for me. Thanks!

- What new gear is coming in 5.4 and what method can they be obtained? (tomestones? raid drops?)
- Should I be bothering with farming Allegories and getting the current Crystarium gear if a new higher level gear set is about to drop?
- What should I do with Phantasmagorias now that they're going to be phased out? Should I spend them to augment my Neo-Ishgardian gear while I still can, or wait to convert them to Allegories?
- Should I bother with the Relic weapon? It requires going through the entire Ivalice questline which I never did, and it only gets me a i485 weapon. I know it can be upgraded to i500 but it sounds like the upgrade process is quite grindy. Is it easier/quicker to just get a weapon via tomestones or raid drops?
