Gamepad Crossbar Glitch

I play on PC but use Gamepad a lot. I had my fighting chocobo out and an Active Help came up. My crossbar disappeared and will not come back. I found one other post with same problem and some with lots of different problems related to fighting chocobo and UI glitches.
Anyone had this problem and found a fix? I have posted to Customer service.. Oh and it is only on one character not all.
 
haha well it seems the glitch is an easy fix... just go to system>character and then you see that the mouse button and gamepad button on the left.. click the gamepad. Why in the world they have two ways to enable gamepad is a mystery. And why things change the button is another mystery... oh well
