Hello
I joined FFXIV a few days ago but I'm unable to continue playing on my PC due to some weird technical issue
In short, the game basically crashes my system usually around 20-30 mins after I start playing. I don't get any errors, the game just freezes and I'm unable to perform any action other than shutting down my PC with the power button. I've already tried several things to fix this but without success:
- Reinstalling the game
- Repairing files through the launcher
- Reinstalling graphic drivers
- Reinstalling Windows
- Undervolting GPU
- BIOS update
- Disabling XMP in BIOS (was already disabled)
- Checking disk and RAM for errors (no errors found)
- Disabling any overlays
- Setting FPS limit to 60
Nothing works. It's also worth to mention that all temperatures are normal so it's not a heating issue. And the weirdest thing is that it's the ONLY GAME that crashes my PC. I can run more demanding games like Cyberpunk or Elden Ring with no issues for long hours, but not FFXIV. Here is my specs:
CPU: i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB
RAM: 32GB 3200MHz CL16
MB: Gigabyte H510 V2
PSU: 700W 80 Plus Bronze
System: Windows 11
I use 2560x1440 resolution / 165hz refresh rate.
I have no idea why this keeps happening. Any ideas?
