Consistently since the 7.2 patch this last Tuesday (Mar 25, 2025), when I attempt to log into the game, it immediately crashes to desktop rather than sitting on a black screen or logging in. Prior to the 7.2 patch, this was not an issue--although I did have occasional, infrequent, random crashes that did not appear to be tied to my in game actions.
Since the 7.2 patch, here is the sequence of events:
1) Load the launcher (I do not play through steam)
2) Log in to the launcher
3) Press the launcher play button
4) The game loads to a black screen, then throws 2-5 errors, and crashes to desktop.
Sadly the errors do not stick around long enough for me to screencap them or remember what they say, and are therefore unhelpful.
Other information:
OS: Windows 11
Graphics Card: NVIDIA 2000 series (I will be updating this soon)
Game is played locally (i.e., not via Steam)
As far as I know, all my drivers are up to date, and Windows is fully updated as well.
I have tried reinstalling the game, but this did not fix the issue.
If anyone has any ideas for fixes I might try on my end to resolve this, I am generally willing to try--however, please bear in mind that I am not a particularly techie person and my day job is particularly demanding at present. I will need clear, step-by-step instructions.
