Sea is the most ass awful unfun area I've ever seen. v_v

Assuming you have an alliance strong enough to take down sea gods, you can forget about avoiding aggro all together and just brute force everything in your path.
 
Aye, but that's a lot of brute force to be had. Them things are annoying and they're all over. The real un-fun part is that many of the NM's you fight in sea have a moving spawn point, so if you aren't fast enough in getting to the location and popping the NM, you get to trek to a completely different area. One of the NM's, an Ix'Aern, requires you to kill Aern's in one location until you get an on-screen message and then click a ??? in a certain amount of time. Another is a simple lotto pop with the placeholders in a totally different area from where the NM actually pops, and he despawns in 2 minutes. Sea is a bit more technical in popping these NM's.
 
them drops ain't worth the trouble, i swear..

and even if you can brute force your way through, all those goddamn mobs are so annoying to a rdm..
 
Try doing the two maps with just 2 BLM, 2 RDM, nin, and a bard... and a nin who refuses to voke anything that aggros (even if it means killing both blm's and the bard until the RDM's finally push it down... Grevalve = worst nin evar)

Took us forever because we either had to manaburn with two members or sleep > zone or temp log. ~_~;;

ya converting and dying from it sucks, mobs that resist a single element no matter your skill sucks, zelda style aggro without zelda caliber control sucks, room that practically requires sacrafice sucks, all talkers suck, and generally rdm is about the least enjoyable job in the game by itself
 
lol with 18 ppl, i really don't think it would be a big deal. The mobs along the way would be dying in 5 seconds. For the moving ??? you leave one and only one person at each possible spawn location. When someone sees the ???, everyone can easily get there in 3-5 minutes. Since the ??? are up for 15 minutes at a time, there's no problem. For the one where you stand around killing Aerns until the message pops, that's no different than going and camping Ulli and having to kill stuff for 3-5 hours before it pops. It's really not as big of a deal as it seems once you've been there a few times and learn the ropes.

And please.. Tell me these aren't worth it:

Aureole - Thrown (Returns) - DMG: 28 Delay: 192 Magic Accuracy +8
Novio Earring - Evasion +7 Enmity -7
Novia Earring - Magic Attack Bonus +7
Mars Ring - Accuracy +8 Attack +8 Evasion -8 Defense -8
Bellona's Ring - R. Accuracy +8 R. Attack +8 Evasion -8 Defense -8
Minerva's Ring - Physical Damage Taken +8% Magic Damage Taken -8%
Futsunomitama - Great Katana - DEX +8 Store TP +8 Latent: STR +8
 
Those are not worth it.

The other day we had a convo in LS about sea gods being 'not worth it' - a few ls members decided that the drops weren't nearly enough to warrant getting to sea.

Mention those items, and everyone changed their mind =)
 
You all have to realize... as well the NAYSAYERS...

It's obvious that there will be new/added items released through {SEA}-- There's no way they developed this entire region for the few select drops that we know of so far.
 
Gimme throwing Gaxes that return to you like a boomerang! Then proms will be done! :shades02:

they hardly *developed* anything lol.... the whole palace is the same thing 10 times or so, and the outside is also uninspired..blah
