Not sure how they'll do this.. it's been a while but I think they pretty much concluded everything in the movie, Conquerer of Shamballa. Ed and Al both chose to stay in the 'real' world. Though I wasn't much a fan of the movie as opposed to the series.
I'm thinking new characters in the same world. Though I'm not sure how well that would turn out.. Ed was an extremely deep character, and the main reason I watched the series.
Or maybe follow the story of Al after he was returned to his body and Ed was sent to the other side of 'The Gate?' That's probably most viable option for a sequel.. anything else I think of sounds too lol.
