Five Ways To Greatly Enhance The User Experience For Crafting And Gathering

The changes made to gatherers in 5.1 and 5.2 were good, but I still have some old gripes, and some new ones. Here are some suggestions.

Crafters
1) Keep the crafting menu open visible until it is closed. The most notable annoying interaction is how the crafting window (and related windows) disappear when you interact with the retainer bell. The menu comes back if you "close it" and reopen it. However, closing the craft window takes you out of your current search. Thus, what often happens is:

1) Open a craft window
2) Switch to search
3) Scroll down the list
4) Find the materials you need
5) Check your retainer
6) You can no longer see the materials you need
7) Re-open the crafting menu
8) Switch back to the search menu
9) Select the item from search menu
10) Scroll down the list

If the dang thing would just stay open until I asked to close it, a lot of these clicks could be avoided.

2) Let us change crafters without having to close the crafting window. As it is now, a lot of the same problems happen as those listed above. You can't craft something as another class without either starting a craft and cancelling it, or closing the window, which returns your character back to the upright state. If you close it, you often have to go through the Search Olympics again, which is a huge PITA.

Gatherers
3) I'd like if Sneak was made into a trait. Stealth being a toggle made sense, since it had a penalty. Sneak, on the other hand, has no downside to it, and you have no reason not to have it on when it's available. Sneak has a trait to turn it on automatically, but it only works when you change to a gatherer in a combat zone. Also the graphic is honestly kind of of obnoxious. I say we get rid of the hotbar action, and the graphic, and just make it a trait.

4) Show how much time is left on a timed node on the map. Basically I'd like it if the game showed you how much time is left on a timed node, perhaps on the minimap, You could look it up online or in the gathering log, but it would be helpful if you could just tell if it was worth going there from the actual game itself. This is especially true with the timed nodes in The Diadem, since you can load into the map with the umbral weather in effect but not be able to determine how long it's been that way.

5) Increase the cap for yellow scrips. This is mostly a nitpick: if you do max collectability turn-ins for pre-Shadowbringers clients, you will get about 300 a piece. That's 1800 if you turn in six items. Even if you stay on-top of spending them, it often creates a hassle where you have to turn in five items -> hit cap -> run back to spend them -> turn in one more. If it could be increased to 3000 or something, that would help save a trip.
