Sprout here somewhere in the slog post-ARR.
I was super excited to do my first alliance raid today (LotA as melee DPS), but even though I came prepared for all the mechanics I was completely overwhelmed by the sheer chaos of so many players and things going on. I died twice and by the time I made it back to whatever fight each time it was over and everyone was gone.
I've had the same experience in 8-man raids and so I'm nervous to do more. It sucks because I love running 4-man dungeons and raids so much and am confident in my abilities. Also don't have a FC or group to help me out because I've been too shy to apply to one.
Does it get easier when you've done them a few times? I feel like an idiot every time I die and just get ignored. I love this game so far and really want to get the most out of it I can.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
