First of all, I appreciate the effort in getting people to play the game more.
Second of all, I really dislike the Aetherwell step and there were probably many more interesting options than this.
I'm going to be real; I knew that the cancellation process for this step is different from the average quest. However, devs should know how monotonous this step is and how it will drive people to mindlessly click. Which is a dangerous combination for the misfortune that befell me. I accidentally canceled my quest and all my aetherwell reset, I had already completed two of the wells and was close to finishing a third.
I completely understand that this was my mistake but why couldn't the quest cancellation process have been kept the same as it usually is, in the journal? Why discard the aetherwell and have to start all over? Again, I recognize my mistake, but I also know other people will likely make the mistake as well because unfortunately the mistake is very easy to make if you are mindlessly clicking cause of having been grinding content. I accidentally canceled because I was trying to pick up a new weapon. For future quests PLEASE just leave the cancellation in the journal where it usually is for quests.
This grind is simply not fun, and it is very grindy, more fail safes needed to be put in place, those are just my two cents. I'm stupid and I am a creature of habit; you get me used to just clicking and I will just mindlessly click. You need to foolproof things like this and keeping cancellations STRICTLY to the journal is one great way of doing that as cancellation will take more conscious effort in that way. Gerolt being the cancellation option when he is RIGHT NEXT to the guy who gives you the weapons was a poor choice in my opinion.
Anywho, I've been playing for years, and this is what got me to finally post on the forums. This relic quest is really obnoxious, and I have to start all over cause my brain was numb from all the roulettes. I'm going to take a break from the relic after this fumble of mine, honestly probably not worth it for me to do it all again right now, we'll see about later.
