I'm absolutely starstruck with the graphics update in DT. I love how subtle yet powerful the changes were, and one of the biggest differences I've felt are on the world lighting - especially during nighttime. My very first screenshot after the update is Ul'dah at night, because of how beautiful the darkness made the stars, and the light reflecting on the golden/metallic bits look.
You can probably see where I'm going: the darkness adds beautiful realism, but it also may make things a bit too difficult to see, sometimes.
I don't see it as a problem at all, though it makes me wish we did have an option to have a light toggle that could be similar to how it works on Everquest, where it's centered around your character and it could be just client-sided, to avoid issues of too many light sources making things unplayable.
I describe it specifically like so because while I'm ALL for immersive props and details (can't ever have enough of them), making it into a fashion accessory or similar item would make that feature unusable in dungeons, and having a little torch or light source in dungeons would be useful and add a bit more of that sweet ~adventurer vibe~ we all live for
