One thing that seems to turn a lot of players off mahjong is the sheer amount of times one game takes. Too often i see novices disconnect only because the game seems never ending.
Therefore i propose a bit more speedier version, instead of the 8+ turns we have now it's instead a game fixed to 4 turns and 4 turns only, no extra turns for east wins/draws. This way everyone gets to be dealer once, and the games require half the time investments it have now.
