Hey all. 2.0 player here. Let me start by telling you this gamer's lore, music, stories, people/nations, politics, etc. interest me incredibly. Since the day I played the ARR beta, I've been infatuated with the scope of the lore in this game, and I am constantly itching for more, whether it come in form of large content or minor. Furthermore, in those pre-expansion announcement discussions I've had (four times now) with friends and cohorts in game, since ARR, we've always talked about and theorized the advent of Garlemald as a playable zone. So, kudos to that (I recall screaming "Eight years!! Eight fucking years!!" when I saw that while watching the showcase.)

This prediction was dreamt up by me purely because of the reasons above. I am a fiend for this game's lore, and I think a lot on this stuff. ...However, if any of these predictions end up being true, all of you reading this owe me 500,000 gil (Yaru Korsin, Ultros, hit me up :^). ...Alright I jest. But honestly, I do this purely out of my own excitement and interest, and I felt like sharing.

And with that...

let's have at it! So, we know 5.5 will see us adventuring out to the deserts of Southern Thanalan in it's dungeon Pagl'than (region of land beyond/around the Sagolii desert, traditional home of Amalj'aa.) This will be to investigate them towers we've been seeing since the end of 5.4's story. Deactivate. Destroy? Simply...see up close, to form conclusions and a plan, etc? Or, perhaps 5.5 starts with shit going to all hell as we saw in the trailer for Endwalker with the WoL and Alphinaud/Alisiae fighting baddies out in what seems like Outer La Noscea by Nym, and that prompts immediate investigation/resistance against the towers. WoL is clearly delegated to Pagl'than...that will be part one of 5.5's story.

5.5 Part Two:
Probably lots of talking and planning...for the impending journey to Thavnair. Something in part two or the end of part one will prompt us going there first. Or, if not lots of talking and planning, the fighting against bads in Eorzea will happen here, and the prior run to Pagl'than will then have been preemptive, rather than reactive. They won't leave us waiting very long to head off to Thavnair on 6.0 drop morning, so, we'll likely prepare for that and be left with "Rest and gather your strength while we prepare, Yaru. We will all need it! We will call upon you when everything is prepared..." These predictions haven't been super astronomical (no pun intended) thus far, but, it's important to set the scene yea?

Endwalker:

So we head for Thavnair. Likely to make allies, respond to a call for help, stop another tower...or possibly it's just a stepping stone on advancing to the Garlean Capital, which may well be the plan from the start! Or a mixture of these things. We'll land in Thavnair. Radz-at-Han, and a zone outside it with coasts, deserts, oasis. Possibly two zones in the region, but likely only one on the island of Thavnair itself(the other on the opposite coast, I'll explain why later.) We'll be helping people in Thavnair along the way of course, and making acquaintances with prominent locals who will assist us/point us the right way. My guess is this dungeon, level 81, is the first:

Seems Holminster Switch-y. Likely rather reactive. Implies bad-guy tower on Thavnair, with all them flames and shit. We'll probably be drawn there to stop it/help out and kill bads.

So, I imagine the second zone, if not on the island of Thavnair, is on the opposite coast, on Ilsabard. West of Dalmasca, across the Dorvos Narrow. (I thought it was Corvos, that would align with anchorite at Corvos? Map might be wrong on spellings. I didn't make it, and I don't have the book with me at the time of writing this, so this is my only source currently. Eight years of a lore addict later and I still can't fucking decipher certain Eorzean alphabet chars. kek)

The anchorite at Corvos might very well be visible on Thavnair in what we've already seen (see next image.) Emphasis on might, not sure. But, having read Encyclopedia Eorzea Vol. 2, the anchorite at Corvos legend is that a giant creature stood between Thavnair and Ilsabard, and that the anchorite is where one foot stood, and there is a matching structure on Thavnair. The details are not clear, but it could very well be this crystalline structure we see here:

Right, so just wanted to get that nerdgasm off my chest.

...Anyway...
Zone two will be across the Narrow on Ilsabard, or revolving around the anchorite itself as we make for Garlemald.

It's time I drop some names and shit, so. My prediction is Zenos beckons us to the Imperial City for that long-awaited very fun and friendly rematch. That, and Fandaniel probably wants to fuck around and find out a bit too. Having no choice, and wanting to see their schemes to an end, of course we follow the scent of blood. Whether or not that happens before or after we get to Radz-at-Han, we'll find out.

I predict the level 83 dungeon will be something we haven't yet seen. Something optional, possibly, as Shisui of the Violet Tides was - or, related to our travails in the area. Around the Corvos Narrow/Anchorite area, or northern Thavnair.

Then, we'll make it to the level 85 dungeon. Here's a hefty prediction as to why we must get a zone on the anchorite or on that west coast of Ilsabard: That train depot dungeon we saw pictures of...

Yeah, this one.

It's gonna take us to the Imperial City (duh!) As was the case in XV, and is kinda arguably becoming a trope in these games. In order to take us there, it has to be on a strip of land connecting northbound to Garlemald. And, in order to be an expansion dungeon - it must be in one of the new zones. So that pretty much tells us where these zones we haven't seen could be, and narrows it down pretty much to those regions I mentioned before the photo. We sure as hell aren't gonna be taking a train north of Gyr Abania lmao (or across the damn ocean!)

Trainride!

So we reach Garlean territory(eight fucking years!!) This will have however many zones out of 6 (2 or 3) we haven't covered already, (my guess is 3) minus 1 for la lune. Or, hell, maybe it's just like XV in the sense we hit zone for zone along the way in a straight line to Garlemald, post-train station/depot until we hit the one right outside the gates of the city. Hah. And we make stops to do...whatever. Drink water? lol. Or, we get effectively a transport cutscene on the train, and two-three zones surrounding the city that make up the region around Garlemald.

We all can infer the large city is the Imperial City, I think, so, there's that. We also know Garlemald has been in disarray since even before the death of the Emperor. Between war, losing Gyr Abania, Doma, and now nearly Bozja too - and the Ghimlyt Dark - they've been spread hella thin and weak. Won't likely be much resistance, but definitely some for sure. I expect there to be a sort of culture shock amongst meeting civilians of Garlemald - many might expect assholes who blindly follow their imperial leaders and support everything they do...but I'm thinking more along the lines of a weak, war-torn, crippled economy with no leadership - and people who believe not in their leaders, as they simply do not exist, and have not for some time. We know the capital is a shitshow from dialogue in the past. And, we'd even heard of riots in the imperial city, and a certain family/faction working ostensibly against the gov't. I'd expect to see some lore surrounding that in the city proper. But yeah, honestly I imagine civilians will be relieved the WoL and co. are coming in hot to save their asses from the dipshites who rule them. Perhaps some are scared we will see them as also responsible, and treat them as enemies - but obviously, we will likely spend time helping the poor, the displaced, the hungry, if we know anything about our main cast <3, and making "friends on the other side of the aisle." And so, once we're at the Imperial City, Zenos will want his fight on home turf. No inkling of an idea as to what the level 87 dungeon may be, likely just a stepping stone on the way to stopping the bad lads. Somewhere in Garlemald or along the way..

~Level 89

Once we are at the Imperial City, I wouldn't be surprised to start working with that counter-gov't group/family/faction or whatever that we heard of in the past, and if they are treating themselves as de facto leaders of the meek, as they have none right now, and Zenos/Fandaniel do not give a rat's ass about these people. I expect it to be a no man's land, but where people are banding together in the absence of governing...likely at resistance to some local tiny garrisons of troops, but they're likely able to fight back.

After some more travails, it's time. That Biological horror genre shit we saw - the thing Fandanny zipped up in the trailer - possibly another one of his murder-towers: the level 89 dungeon.

Likely our conduit to the moon. You see that shootey spear thing stab into the moon before \"Endwalker\" sprawled across your screen in the trailer? Yeee

Final boss will be fuckin' uh. Fandaniel(he'll escape and zip to the moon, or tether his soul up there or some shit.) Or Zenos. Or Lunar Bahamut. In any event, we'll go zippin' up in pursuit. Or, Fanboy yeets us all up there together, as was his plan all along - bahaha. Maybe our Zenos fight's stage is the moon. We'll arrive and be beckoned to the ultimate finale, on the other end of the zone. This point right here, between arriving on the moon and getting to that final level 70 dungeon + fight, is where they'll drop anything that's left on us (THE ALLAGANS MADE IT TO THE MOON)(OR THE DRAGONS) History, lore, the meaning of the world. We'll have mad visions. Existential crises. :)
The final dungeon: a secret base. Or crystalline structure. Or entrapment of some other kind - likely containing a corporeal form of Zodiark. I'd imagine something along the lines of Bahamut in his Coils. He's there, alive in spirit, and half in body - but not yet whole (as we've been thwarting the Ascian's plans for years now) but still entirely alive and very dangerous (Think...Death Star II, if you will.) We explore this place and learn the final mysteries. We gear up, and kick all their asses into oblivion. Or whatever. Maybe we sacrifice something. Someone. Hydaelyn. Idfk. Yee - fuckin - haw, WoL's.

Discuss at your will <3 and see ya there.
