Going to keep this short and simple. All you need to focus on is ONE single quadrant of the map. To illustrate this, I cut up each portion of the map into four quadrants. I will only be showing the swords in the 4th Quadrant, as all the rest are entirely superfluous.
- Edit: It was requested I give this name for Party Finders, I suppose SE Sword Strat.
1st Diagram shows which two swords to focus on, A & B for the 1st sword mechanic. Their spawn order and position will alternate, just adjust accordingly. But focus all of your attention on these two swords.
Diagram #1, 1st Sword oh the 2nd Phase
Second Diagram
The 2nd Diagram shows the the two possible outcomes for the Lower Split, when the Red Markers Doubles in Size. Note, the Red Marker will resolve before the swords do. In the 2nd Example of the Diagram, Sprint is recommended.
Diagram #2, Lower Split (Bottom Half Sword Phase)
In this Diagram I recommend waiting on the in or around Quadrant #3. The Red Marker will resolve well before the swords. This will allow you to keep uptime on the boss at Max Melee. For the Lower Half, A will always be the 3rd Sword. No matter where the Red Marker goes, either North or South, it will always overlap with this safe spot.
When the Red Marker is south, just use Sprint. You'll have plenty of time to make it A and then move into B when B explodes first.
Third Diagram
This illustrates the Upper Half Sword Phase when he uses a Knock Back.
Diagram #3, Upper Split (Top Half After the Half-room Cleave)
For this formation, it will always be B and resolved into A.
First Fire Line
To reduce overall movements and complications, just get to the bottom corner and wait for the ship to be either One or Four. Adjust accordingly, move behind the Exoflares for safety.
1st Fire Line (No Troops)
Second Fire Line
For the 2nd Fireline, we normally position ourselves North to make it easier to see the Troops. The only tricky part is the Alternative Option if you get Lane 4 versus Lane 5 in the North, this makes it a little bit harder, but not impossible. You just need to remember to step forward once the Exoflares have passed. It doesn't really make it too much more difficult.
