So you want to make gil?

Well stop spending so much and you'll start to see it increase!

In all seriousness, the game throws gil at you contantly but you don't notice it because of how much you waste daily. It costs (at maximum) 999 Gil everytime you want teleport somewhere else. That's quite a lot of gil when you probably teleport (on average) at least 20/30 times a session. On top of that, after a day of combat or crafting, you're then splashing out on thousands if not tens of thousands of Gil on repair costs! That's not so good.

Here's a few methods to give you something small to do each week to help save yourself some gil for more important end-game content.

Teleporting - Where to buy Aetheryte Tickets

With Allied Seals - In the main city of your local grand company at the Hunt Billmaster (they typically stand near the Hunt board), select Allied Seals (Other), and it's right near the top. They're 5 Allied Seals Each.

With Centrino Seals - From Ardolain in the Foundation (closest to Forgotton Knight Aetheryte). They are under the option Exchange Centrino Seals for 5 Centrino Seals each.

Blue Mage Log & Weekly Masked Carnival

Requirements: Blue Mage level 50 minimum
(blue mage 1-60 in 2 hours leveling guide)

Masked Carnival General: If you haven't completed the Masked Carnival yet I highly recommend it and there's a huge amount of Allied Seals to net from it each week. First time completion will reward you with 50/100/200 allied seals each (plus poetics) and they are reletively easy to clear each week. There's a document here on how to do each challenge. Plus it's fun!

Masked Carnival Weeklies: Each week there are challenges for you to complete for extra bonuses offering you a total of 550 Allied Seals - That's 110 Aetherye Tickets! They're pretty quick & easy to beat so I wouldn't worry too much about the difficulty.

Blue Mage Log Unlocked: This one is pretty simple. You open a Blue Mage only party finder for your weekly Blue Mage (example) dungeon/trial/raid. This will net you a ton of Allied Seals and work your way towards unlocking the amazing Morbal Mount.

Extras:

Weekly & Daily Hunts

There are hunt boards at your Grand Company, in The Foundation, Kugane/Rhalgr's Reach, and The Crystarium. These give you easy EXP as well as Seals in shape of Allied, Centrino and a Sack of Nuts.

All but the Shadowbringers Nuts will net you easy Atheryte Tickets which can be brought with both Allied Seals and Centrino Seals.

I recommend going to the hunt boards for all but Shadowbringers (unless you want stuff from the Nuts towards minions, mounts and materia). Then plan out your hunts using this Hunt Path tracker.

You can also join a hunt train via Centrino Hunts discord or checking out Cross World Linkshells for hunting.

Repairing - Where to buy Dark Matter

First of all, it's cheaper to repair your gear yourself than via Vendors. You'll need your crafters to hit level 70 to repair any level 80 gear. There's a nice 1-80 in 2 hours guide here.

Dark Matter Grade 7 at 200 gil each from Vendors can get incredibly expensive. Here are some alternatives;

With Grand Company Seals (Recommended) - Head to your grand company Quartermaster (they typically stand on the far right behind the desk) and check the Material Tab under the Third Rank option (as pictured here). They're 575 Seals each.

With Wolf Marks - They're 100 Wolf Marks each and are under the Storm Sergeant at Wolves' Den Pier.

With Bicolor Gemstones - Only the Bicolor Venders in the areas themselves will sell these for 6 Bicolor Gemstones each.

Grand Company Seals

Rolling Need/Greed on everything in Dungeons - Trading in gear at the personal officer at your grand company is the most efficiant method. If you don't have roll luck, you can run dungeons unsync quickly for gear to trade in. My personal favourite method is running Binding Coil of Bahamut Turn 4 Unsync on a tank. You get gear drops to trade in as well as progression towards tank gear.

Challenge log - The Grand Company tab can offer you 7,000 seals for minimal work. Combine this with the fates

Adventuerer in Need - On top of the dungeon roll method, you can also get additional seals by queueing as an adventuere in need. This is an easy way to get 3,000+ Seals in addition to Gil and Clusters for free Materia!

Fates & Guildhest Roulette - It's not much but it's something extra. It's a good time to spam fates for the Yo Kai minions, mounts and weapons.

These are two other options that are probably more hassle than its worth for Grade 7 Dark Matter but if you have spare currency or are capped out and need to spend it on something, you can get it via these options too.

Wolf Marks

Daily Frontline Roulette will give you 1000 Wolf Marks and a bonus depending on your win. This is also amazing exp so run it on a class you want to level.

PVP Challenge log - Another 6,000 Wolf Marks can be obtained weekly from your challenge log.

Bicolor Gemstones

Fates, Fates, Fates, Fates and Fates. In Shadowbringers areas obviously. No explanation here just do fates.

So there you have it. Stop AFKing in cities and start saving money in game to start buying what you want!
