We are pleased to announce that Early Access for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)!

* Participants of Early Access are eligible to play straight into official service, which will begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
* Those who have either registered a pre-order code or fulfilled the requirements for Legacy status are eligible to participate in Early Access.
* The game client from Beta Test phase 4 (open beta test) can also be used as the game client for Early Access. You do not need to uninstall the Beta Test phase 4 client and install anything else.

Haha... You are probably right, sadly.

I think the first bottleneck will be everyone downloading the game files. Probably will see account or code problems from the new account management system.

Those are my guesses.
 
I'm on call this weekend... so I'll wake up, work out....launch FFXIV and hope no one calls about networking issues lol.
