This is a simple three step process to determine which is the safespot for the clones:
1 - Face the same direction the boss is facing;
2 - Rotate your camera on the boss's safe side;
3.a - If you find the first clone inside the boss's safe side, the safespot is the pie slice immediately before the first clone's attack.
3.b - If you don't find any clone inside the boss's safe side, the last pie slice on her safezone is, well, the safezone.
The video goes on to show after explaining this why that is - basically because of the limited spaces the second clone can be, given that the mechanic both requires a single pie slice as a safespot, and also that both clones cleave the same side.
