Right now I'm furious. I'll probably regret later not having cooled down before writing this but whatever.
I received this message by trying to login today. I have spent the quarantine in my parents' house and played FFXIV from a PC I have there. Now I'm back in my own house, roughly 60km away, downloaded the client and I can't fucking log in (and start downloading the game - seriously, who thought it was a good idea to make the download start AFTER the login?).
Square, I PAID FOR THAT PLAY TIME.
I haven't received an email and I DO NOT WANT to change my password, especially considering I also move a lot between houses normally, so I play from both locations and I would be changing my pass every 1-2 weeks - and I DEFINTELY do not want to.
EDIT: just received the email, it's been sent after about 30 minutes. With a fucking password reset link, so it still doesn't solve the problem.
EDIT2: I also don't want 2FA - it's another layer of annoyance, I don't want to give Square my phone number or install an APP (very low on space 'cause I also play DFFOO and it's pretty big) and I don't want to spend even more money for the token.
Square, CHANGE YOUR POLICY AND ALLOW US TO DISABLE THIS CHECK ON IP CHANGE.
