So as the title says after much research, reddit posts, yt vids etc. I'm still left with a few burning questions about each class which is why I thought I post rather than the weekly discussion thread since other people might like this aswell.
From what I understand:
-BLM is a turret mage with long cast times that wants to spend the whole fight standing still casting explosion. You have to know boss fights well and you should be top DPS, its relatively easy to pick up but full optimization of dps is harder than SMN and RDM.
-SMN has a fairly complex 2min rotation, has utility including rez, uses pets to dish out damage and stays fairly mobile. It is considerably harder to pick up and learn its rotation but once you learn it, its not as tricky to stay optimized as BLM
-RDM is both easier and worse than the aforementioned casters in almost every category apart from style points so it is the best class and your argument is invalid
Now for the questions I couldn't find good answers for
-I have heard that SMN pets are super clunky but some sources say that was fixed in recent patches?
-I have heard that once you get used to SMN rotation its pretty easy and samey, I have also heard it is very difficult to keep outputting optimal dps and is nowhere near as simple as the BLM rotation.
-I have heard that BLM has easy rotations its just about knowing the fight so you can stay still as long as possible, but also that its rotation is not set in stone so outputting the right rotation at the right time is really hard.
-I think its the current patch that people are talking about a stupidly OP SMN that out dps's BLM assuming SMN gets balanced what would you say their defining trait is (i.e. BLM is meant to be best single target DPS)
Now for the selfish part of the post where I ask the me specific questions:
-I really enjoy learning curves and things with constant room for improvement (rather than an easily attainable skill ceiling)
-I like pressing lots of buttons that feel like they do something and keeping very activet?
-I live in Perth, Australia so I get ~300 ping are these classes even playable on that ping?
-Does SMN get cosmetics/skins for their summons?
Finally for fun, if you play and love one of these job (apart from the obvious RDM answer
) give me your most biased opinion on why I should play your job and not the others 
tl;dr Unsure on certain updated aspects of these classes otherwise why do you prefer once class to the other with a few selfish criteria/questions weaved in.
