Do I Need To Clear E4s To Start E5s On The New Patch?

I'm a newcomer that just picked up FFXIV and would love to start savage raiding in 5.2 but my question is that if I need to clear the current tier to be able to do the 5.2 tier or am I good only doing normal E4. o/
