Hi everyone,
I just thought it would be interesting to make such a list of what features players actually wished, that devs would implement during upcoming patches / expansions, starting the next year.
For the sake of this being an actually realistic list though, please refrain from utopian game overhauls or overly vague "wishes" like "Fix PvP" or "Fix the Netcode" or "give us high-res textures for gear in FFXIV" and just post actually reasonable features that you would like to see being released.
I mean, who knows? Maybe a dev is reading and some of the stuff posted in here could actually make it into the game.

My personal wish list would include the following features:
Talking to NPCs (and quest NPCs) while mounted, without dismounting
Quests that can be done in a party (e.g. if a quest says "kill 10 Cactuars" it counts to the whole group's quest progress, when one of your party members kills a Cactuar)(only new quests for now. Old quests could be updated slowly with time)
more jumping puzzles everywhere, with achievements on completion
random achievements or fluff/surprise achievements for doing casual/random stuff, other than "Complete 10.000 levequests" or "Beat Duty X 10 times". Ideas might be:
Oh no!
Use Superbolide [within 2 seconds] as a GNB right after being healed with Benediction.
Tanking the floor
Die by using Elusive Jump / Displacement and falling off a cliff.
Combat fire with fire
Kill a fire sprite with a fire spell
Taste your own medicine
Cast "Bad Breath" as a Blue Mage on a Malboro
Playing Child
Use a slide in Lyhe Mheg 100 times
Scaring the shite out of him
Eat a pudding, while standing close to a Pudding monster
more riddle quests like the ones between Horizon and the Waking Sands, but much, much, much harder, so it takes the community several weeks/months to solve the riddle (and with some fancy pet or mount as a reward at the end).
11 more glamour plates, so every job that shares gear with another job can have its own glamour plate
That would be my personal wish list for now. What features would you wish for
