I loved that they focussed on political warfare as opposed to to standard jrpg trope of having to fight God(s) or something overly supernatural. Honestly I was a bit disappointed that we moved away from the war with the Garlean Empire in the later expansions, as much as I loved them!
Also I loved many of the side characters in Stormblood and that includes Lyse
