Devs, can you upgrade the marketboard?

The system has remained largely unchanged for about 13 years now. Maybe it’s time to update or improve it a little?

Because of how basic the current system is, many sellers default to listing items in stacks of 99 out of convenience. It would be nice to have something more flexible, such as:

Buying side

You could enter the quantity you want to buy, and the system would automatically purchase from the cheapest listings first, then move up in price as each stack is depleted.

The system could also show which sellers you’re buying from. For example, if I buy 150 of an item:
  • Alicia sells 99 for 400 gil each
  • Bob sells 25 for 425 gil each
  • Juliet sells 26 for 426 gil each

Total: 61,301 gil + fees

It would also be useful to set a price cap, like: “I’m willing to buy up to X gil per item.” Even if I don’t get the full quantity, the system would purchase everything available under that price.

Seller side

On the selling side, you could list any quantity of an item (or even multiple stacks) and simply set a unit price. For example: “Sell 1500 Mythril Ore at 250 gil each.”

I believe this would simplify things for everyone. Players wouldn’t be forced to buy a full stack of 99 when they only need, say, 10 items.

Also, it would be great if the Market Board became cross-world. We can already travel between worlds, so this would just make the system more convenient overall.

Those are just some simple idea, but I really feel that the whole system is due for an update/upgrade. We are not on the PS3 era anymore
