I understand SE is adding mechanic visuals to the Hall of the Novice.
I think there are a lot more that can be added.
Maybe a short test for when you hit max level with every class per expansion to get used to the new skills would be good to have as well.
Here are a few things I thought of, having observed mid to high level players in group content over the years as well as after reminiscing the days when I was new.
Do you have anything to add? Or perhaps my ideas are bad? What are your thoughts?

- Using defensive skills properly
- Using Reprisal and Arms-length
- Using invulnerability skills
- Using combo attacks
Healers:
- Using cooldowns
- Using damage skills, while also healing
- Using better/upgraded spells instead of Cure/Physick/Benefic/Diagnosis
- Mana management, as a addendum of the point above
- The different philosophies between heal (reactive) and shield (proactive) healers
- Using Esuna (DT healer role-quest does this but it needs to be a LOT sooner)
DPSes:
- Using combo attacks
- Using positional attacks
- Using cooldowns
- Reinforce explanations for class gimmicks, especially for NIN, SAM, BLM and RDM
- Using Feint, Addle and ranged phys defensives
