Overall, I love that the Cosmic Exploration does not have materials that take up additional space in my inventory. I feel the balance of the Class B crafts is really good, but Class D to Class C maybe a tad too "all over the place" for ppl NEW to specifically crafting. It jumps right into the meat of crafting rotation and the difficulty is tied to your level, so if you start with a lv 50 crafter but never REALLY crafted before you might be in over your head.
Then I get to Class A. Under the premise that this is THEE end game crafting, I accept you will need a full lv100 set to complete this at gold rating but need full pentamelded to get gold regularly.
So this is my problem. I start a Class A craft, my kids come to talk to me and I fail it because I run out of time. I start a Class A craft, I get a phone call so I will fail it because I run out of time. I am not really mad that I fail it, just annoyed. No materials were lost, I can just abandon and start over again from scratch. But it is annoying.
The A-2s that require fishing... I feel like too much RNG is involved. I don't get to pick the bait. I can't even keep the fish to the next mission, the drone takes them away?! I can't see the fishing hole in my log / develop a sense or pattern of the hole because the fishing window is too short. So it's just blind luck. (I do know some tricks to ease the RNG, but it's not like I can create the situation where I only get the fish I want YET. With more data I can probably do this, it will just be very painful to get there with trial and error). It's at the point where I will do it until I get gold then I avoid it every additional time it comes up.
Please consider the A-2s that use mining and Botany for crafting materials only give you one item to pick from and it's distance between nodes that is the main limiting factor. Compared to fishing, this makes those a very reliable mission to accept.
Just wanted to leave some feedback on the forums. I heard others were making macros for the gathering to swap to dancer or reaper for a dash between nodes. Thought I would throw my thoughts on the Class A time limits and balances into the mix. CAn't wait for the next release of Cosmic Exploration!
