Hi everyone,
I'm making this post for future Eternal Bonders to come across as they frantically google-search a solution to a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding bug that only gets revealed in the small 20-minute window after you start things off with Étoinelle.
My IRL wife and I decided it would be a fun thing to relive our actual wedding ceremony in-game, so we signed up for a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding. Unfortunately, we ran into a bug that has happened to a few other people:

Essentially, one participant is allowed entry at the appointed time, while the other isn't. For the unfortunate player who isn't allowed in, Étoinelle just never changes her dialogue options. Re-equipping the wristlets, dropping and restarting the party, and relogging all have no effect. Soon, the 20 minutes elapse and your event is cancelled. Womp womp.
As we frantically searched for a solution, we found the Square-Enix page which says you need to have the "Blank Invitation" in your inventory that states your wedding date and time. I (the groom) had this item in my inventory, and I was let in. My wife did not - instead, when we booked the time last week, she was given a "Ceremony Invitation." The icon is different; instead of a white envelope with a red stamp, it looks like a scroll. We suspect the bug caused this item to be given to her at the time of booking somehow instead of the Blank Invitation, and as such, Étoinelle did not recognize her as a participant.
After the time came and went, we rebooked the ceremony, and this time double-checked that we both received Blank Invitations in our inventories.
So, future Eternal Bonders... if you or your partner aren't getting let in to your event, check to see if you were given the right item. It sucks, but there doesn't seem to be anything you can do except rebook.
