As someone who's played the game casually for a year or two, but hasn't spent much time at level cap, I'm still new to a lot of the 'regular' activities that one does to 'play the game' at a casual level once you're done the MSQ and have everything unlocked. One thing I'm finally starting to pick up are efficient things to do during a week of 'normal' gameplay to make gil, especially when it comes to 'take this resource you're already getting and liquidate it' - and I'm learning that a lot of these are common knowledge in the community, but perhaps not obvious to players who tend to play alone or haven't spent much time at endgame.
For example, it took me a while to realize that doing roulettes (for updated gear, plus Wondrous Tails) also gave me a bunch of other tomestones which can be liquidated into crafting mats and sold on the marketboard. I also recently finished leveling my crafting jobs and happened to find out about using my leve allowances on Coffee Biscuits with just a little botany each week. BFF DoL/DoH weekly turn-ins are very time-efficient, and the scrips can be liquidated as well. Beast Tribe dailies are another easy, casual thing to do when you have time and give a currency that can sometimes be turned into crafting mats to sell too!
So what are a couple things you usually do to casually while playing the game to make gil?
