Can't Boot Up Xiv

Since this morning whenever I try to play FFXIV the launcher gets stuck on the part where it shows the logo, before you can type your password, never progressing. If i click on any part of the window it stops responding. Does anyone know what to do? If it helps, I'm running the Steam version.
