Hello everyone!
I am a new FFXIV player who only started a few weeks ago. In fact, I am quite new to gaming in general, and this is my first MMO. I have been loving the game so far, but I have two problems:
As I unlock more dungeons and trials, I'm slowly starting to feel a bit of dread. I just started Crystal Tower, and the idea of playing with so many people makes me hesitate to continue. In my short time in the game, I have already met kind and helpful people, as well as those who have sent some rude and sarcastic things my way.
I know this is just life and how the game will work. I was wondering, however, if anyone can share some warm or funny stories about strangers they have met, or maybe some advice for someone who has just stepped into this world. Have you met people who were really uplifting? Do you have advice for a beginner that might make things easier? I think reading anything like that may help me move forward! Thank you for your time! =)
[On a related note, I didn't come into the game with anyone I know, so I always use Duty Finder. I am slowly trying to talk to people, make friends, and look for a comfortable fc, but that is a challenge I am trying to overcome as well.]

- I am very shy and anxious about interacting with people I don't know.
- I know I'm a beginner, and I know mistakes are probably an inevitable part of the learning process.
