Hi.
When you kill someone with that skill, you heal 100% of the target's remaining HP instead of 200% of it.
For exemple, the Black Mage has 100 HP left and his opponent has 537 HP left, the skill inflicts around 2000 dmg, and the Black Mage heals himself of 537 HP instead of 1074HP.
Even weirder, a player I was training with about this skill inflicted me 1809dmg and healed 2363HP only without killing me. I had no shield (I was monk, and no Riddle of Earth). As he inflicted 1809dmg, he had to be low life, so it's not like only 2363HP was needed to be full life for him. We couldn't explain why (I do have screenshots of battle log).
I believe it's maybe intended to not heal the total dmg dealt (so we don't heal 4000 if we inflict 2000 in that case as that target actually doesn't have those HP to life steal from, from a realistic point of view). Even if the skills says it heals double of the dmg dealt, but well, it can be interpreted in different ways.
On top of that, Drain doesn't heal (it heals 1HP) if it hits shields like Mana barrier as it's written "dmg dealt 0" (but technically still inflicted dmg to the shield). I dunno if that's intended (I believe it is, but I'm still asking) and if it should be behaving this way for balance purpose. I prefer to use a same topic to talk about the skill behaviour overall.
