Bards have /perform, what if other classes had minigames based on their job flavor?
What do you think they might have?
My ideas:
Paladin: Shield-deflection minigame. NPC throws items at you while you hold up your shield, turning angles the shield to deflect projectiles into enemies/targets. Extra points for accuracy.
Warrior: Waterfall meditation: sitting under the waterfall you tap inputs to meditate as distractions fall over the waterfall, this fills a rage gauge that you can unleash with a keypress to break barrels as they fall over the waterfall.
Dark Knight: Shadow-puppets: 2D platformer where your shadow fights monster shadows.
Gunbreaker: Bodyguard contracts. Solo instances escorting various plot NPCs from town to town with instanced battles between them.
White Mage: Plants vs. Zombies-type minigame. Cultivate saplings and treants to fight off the undead.
Scholar: Research-themed minigame. Travel between libraries in the big cities and collect data in the field to fill a log on monsters and locations that gives background lore on them.
Astrologian: Stargazing log. Visiting certain places at night will generate an item that can be used to create housing items (star maps, paintings, globes, astrolabes, etc.)
Monk: Kata-memorization game (like Simon). Game shows an order of weaponskills, player has to repeat them with increasing difficulty.
Dragoon: "Leap of Faith"-style platformer, but with Dragoon jumps.
Ninja: Mudra-Mudra-Revolution. Input complicated mudra to the beat to unleash powerful ninjutsu.
Samurai: "Fruit Ninja"-type game. Tap weaponskills at just the right moment to slice fruit that is thrown at you.
Bard: /perform (obviously)
Dancer: Custom dancing using steps similar to Bard's /perform
Machinist: Target shooting via the first person interface from quests.
Black Mage: Enochian Madness. Dodge an ever-increasing number of telegraphed AOEs while trying to maintain your enochian status. No Fire / Blizzard I allowed.
Summoner: Pokemon-style egi battles. Learn new egi glamours.
Red Mage: Balancing act. Use white and black magic in equal amounts to help NPCs with tasks, the harder the tasks become the more unpredictable the black/white magic increases become and the harder it becomes not to fall out of balance.
