I didn't know that, but I'm not surprised. Now if I could only remember what the DARPA chief in MGS was for. Unless he was actually from the same organization? I don't remember ... I played the original a LONG time ago and the remake made me sick.

Yeah, he was the chief of DARPA, lol. Donald Anderson I believe. He headed up the US's secret funding of the Metal Gear REX project with ArmsTech, the weapons manufacturer.
