In order to use songs, bards must be considered in combat first. However, when trying to do the standard opener, there is a chance that wanderer's minuet may not go off (unless you're spamming it) since bard is not considered in combat until half a gcd in after using one of their DoTs as the first gcd. This may result in accidentally missing wanderer's minuet after the first gcd, clipping your gcd's, or being unable to double weave if you have worse ping.
In order to fix this, I would like to suggest letting bards use their songs out of combat. If they want to prevent 2min pre-pulls, then they should let bards have full coda at the start of any duties. Looking at other classes, most of them are able to use their 2min buffs at full power and are able to use them out of combat. I don't see why bard can't have this as well.
If they don't want to do the suggestion above, then maybe have bard's DoT do a small initial damage upon use (like 1 potency?) so that they're considered in combat immediately? Not sure, I just want this to be changed, since it's annoying to accidentally miss using my WM unless I'm mashing it lol.
