If you take a look at the updated attendance spreadsheet, you'll notice I added an attendance distribution chart that basically shows that we have a core of members that make very strong attendance, with the vast majority of members who make required lotting attendance having nearly 100% attendance.

I originally instituted a 50% attendance requirement because I wasn't sure how attendance would be. Seeing that we have many dedicated members at this point, who are attending nearly all of the runs, I propose that we increase the attendance requirement to 75% from 50%. Any change would not be instituted until after the most current lotting cycle ends (after Proto-Omega).

Please let me know your thoughts on this. I'd really like to reward the members who have made very good attendance. If you think the requirement should be increased, but that 75% isn't the number you're looking for, feel free to express that as well.
 
With a number like 50% a person can really pick and choose what runs they want to go to.

I.E. Go to this run, well that means I can do something else the next time
so I'll plan accordingly. The problem when that happens is ... we don't have enough people to win. I understand people have jobs and everything, and they really can't make every run so I don't know if 75% or higher is good, but I really just don't think 50% is so hot itself.

Take that as you will, I'm still not allowed to lot on anything so my opinion probably does (and maybe should) count for nothing but that's just what I think right now. If we had more people we'd be able to do more boss fights anyway.
 
The only thing that sets me off is that someone that has 50% attendance has the same priority as someone who has 100% attendance. Sure, some people can't make it to every run and that is understandable. But for those who make it to every run only to be outlotted on said piece by someone who has attended half of what you have, well, it's annoying.
 
Just as a heads up, I'm not at all interested in some kind of weird, elaborate points system that tries to place good attendance members ahead of poor attendance members. I'm looking for an attendance cutoff that the majority of participants can agree is fair for both those that make perfect attendance and those who can't make as many runs due to RL stuff.

P.S. Before you get your panties in a bunch, I know that's not what you were trying to suggest, Soj.
 
The last 2 weeks my attendance has been kinda not there... School has been really stressful, I'm sure you can relate Nekio. My Mon/Wed class ends at 9:30ish, so I typically always miss that run... I do ask once i get on if you guys haven't entered yet :(

I do think the 50% rule is fine, even if someone comes 50% of the time, (thats counting both omega and ultima correct?) I'm assuming he is only lotting one or the other.. and 50% means, that he has covered atleast all of one zone, or half of each... Which I think grants him the right to lot.
 
I feel your pain with classes, Sozo... though I'm living proof that you do get some free time :P

Keep in mind that boss runs give a bonus attendance point, so assuming that we do each zone individually (4 Apollyon and 6 Tem), if someone came to just the boss runs, they would be sitting at 33% attendance even if they never helped farm chips at all, for reference. If we successfully did dual-runs every time, attending just the boss fights would give ~57% attendance. "50% attendance" does NOT equal "coming to half the runs" by any stretch of the imagination.
 
I'll just come to boss runs and to whatever zone i might need a piece of af+1 for. FUCK YEAH FREEING UP SOME OF MY TIME ON MONDAY AND THURSDAY, GIVES ME TIME TO MASTURBATE BEFORE EINJAMMER.

BTW, I figured this was implied, but please do not vote in this poll if you have not been attending Limbus regularly since I restarted it. I'm looking for the preferences of current active members only at this time. If you do not participate in Limbus but would like to make your opinion known, feel free to post a reply in this thread but do not cast a vote.
 
18+ members would be nice wouldn't it?

Don't think you can. Need an admin to do it. Even then I am not sure if its worth all that trouble. I would just PM nekio and tell him what you voted. He can then weight the vote off of PM's he gets and go from there.
 
Why do we even have attendance? WERE ALL IN ULTIMA GUIZ, WE SHOULD JUST LET EVERYONE LOT EVERYTHING I MEAN RIET WE'D ALL STILL GO TO EVERY RUN WE COULD TO HELP EVERYONE EVEN IF ITS JUST A FEW CAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
 
Yeah no worries, Z. You've been on couple runs so it's kosher. I just didn't want people who have never and may never come help with Limbus skewing the vote one way or the other. I kinda look at it this way: those people who want/can come to Limbus with the current group are already doing so, so I'm trying to find a system that is fair for those members. If that's an incorrect assumption, this is a good place to point it out.

*EDIT* It has come to my attention that there are actually members interested in coming, but they are concerned with attendance requirements. That will go into consideration when making a final decision.
 
I voted as well, and have been to a run or two so far I believe. Got BLM upgrade piece in Temenos due to it. Can do with my vote as you wish. I voted 50%+.
 
Well I know I'm a regular non-attender. I just come help out with bosses from time to time. I should be better about events in general but things have just been hectic lately. (Doesn't help when I don't leave work till after 7pm EST these days. Our group operating on half staff ftl. Anyone know SQL and need a job? We could use the freaking help. lol)

Though really, I don't think anyone just plans out "Oh I went to this and this so I don't have to come again till ZOMG MY BOSS DROP." Takes too much work. I just think motivation is low and there's lots of other interesting things in game so people bump this to lower priority except for your "core" members. This tends to be my operating flow chart for attending most events lately:

1) Am I in game? No = exit loop
2) Am I busy? No = go to event (liklihood of no is very low)
3) Do they seem to need people? No = keep doing what I'm doing.
4) Do they need any of my jobs specifically? No = keep doing what I'm doing.

If all return true then I attend. Because lots of limbus can be low manned with very specific jobs, 4 never seems to pan out. I like what you did the other week nekio (though I think you edited your post now?) where I saw jobs listed for 2 different zones trying. Then if you needed a whm or smn, I could snag that spot, leaving Rhine to go THF or whatever. But with Rek and Rhine usually in the WHM spot, not much else I have useful to you so I keep doing what I'm doing (this would change if I could ever get my last 5 freaking levels of blm).

So I'm not sure if 75% is needed. Maybe just better beforehand knowledge so people can fit themselves like pieces into the puzzle more easily.
