Hello fellow FFXIV fans! I have a question, I guess couched in a complaint.
I play a Bard on Kujata, which is predominantly Japanese (I live in Thailand). I arrived to this point at Thok ast Thok in Dravania last night at about 10pm. After 30 minutes in queue, I decided to call it quits for the night and went to bed.
I tried again this morning at about 10am. Another 30 minutes. Nothing. At 3pm, 45 minutes. It’s now 7pm, which I would think would be prime time, and I’ve been in duty roster for 30 minutes. I’ve spent almost 10% of the last 24 hours waiting to move forward In the main story quest, at 4 different times of day.
I do have my Duty Roster settings to all 4 languages. I never had a problem like this in ARR.
I guess my question is: is this normal for the expansions? This is one of the first real duties I’ve encountered in Heavenswar that i can think of? Is it possible people on my server just don’t play beyond the base game? I ask because I haven’t seen many other players in Dravania or Ishgard at all.
Could it be that I’m DPS? I occasionally see other DPS join the cue, but never see any tanks or healers. What would be a good second class to level to be able to move forward with the game?
I have really loved this game. I’ve played every main final fantasy game, all the way back to the first one in 1990. But I’m losing patience with waiting for the duty roster... just looking for recommendations or solutions so I can move forward. I’m feeling really discouraged.
