A fair share of people are not too happy with where Astrologian is in regards to the card system. And while I don't hate the current change, I have been pondering ways I would like to see it improved on. While this might be long, and you might not like what I have to say right off the bat, save all judgement until the end.
For me Astrologian would become a true Diviner. Reading the stars and tarot cards to divine the party's fate and fortune in battle. Thus my entire theme would continue to revolve around those aspects. Divining buffs through astrology and divination!
I'll start off with simple list of things that would change.

For me Astrologian would become a true Diviner. Reading the stars and tarot cards to divine the party's fate and fortune in battle. Thus my entire theme would continue to revolve around those aspects. Divining buffs through astrology and divination!
I'll start off with simple list of things that would change.
- Play, Undraw, and Redraw would be removed
- Draw would be reworked along with how the cards function.
- Cards would all remain being a flat damage boost, but have their role requirements removed. As well has have their damage buff reduced to 1-2% (Bare with me on this)
The reason for this is simple. Draw would no longer require the Play
action, or even targeting a player for it to take effect. Instead, once the draw button is pressed a card would be drawn from your deck, this then applies an entire party wide of the damage buff (again 1-2%). The Cards would last 15 seconds on a 30 second CD as usual and could stack with Divination.
There would be 12 cards in total. One for each of The Twelve, and two of each element. Some of you might be upset or confused about this so far, but let me explain. Cards would work Heavily around the skill Divination.
- Divination would face a very drastic rework, that would also change the Astrologian's job UI. Divination would still hold three cards, but not in the same way as before. Cards while having that flat aoe damage buff, would also have a secondary stat. Giving players back that small amount of choice that they had before ShB.
They would appear as such
- The Balance : 1-2% Damage increase - Divination secondary of 2% Damage
- The Spear : 1-2% Damage - Divination secondary 2% Critical Hit
- The Ewer : 1-2% Damage - Divination secondary 2% Mana regen every 3 sec
- The Arrow : 1-2% Damage - Divination secondary 2% Spell/Skill speed
- The Spire : 1-2% Damage - Divination secondary 2% Direct Hit
- The Bole : 1-2% Damage - Divination secondary 2% Damage reduction
