So it's pretty rare that I need to post an "Advice" thread, but Savage prog has lead me to this point. Over the past few weeks, I've had to fill the healer slot and the only healing class I have at 80 is good ol' AST. I have no trouble in dungeons or trials (EX or otherwise), but now that I'm progging some savage content, something has become quite clear... Cards while using a PS4 controller is so very inconvenient.
I've never had the joy of playing FFXIV on a PC and hell, even if I was I would probably still be using a controller because it's what I'm most comfortable with. But scrolling through the party list with the Dpad to dish out them sweet buffs has become a pain in the ass, especially when trying to make a DPS check. The time in which I AM scrolling through said party list, I am not healing, nor hitting the boss.
I've always disliked the idea of macros, but I am at my wits end. Anyone have any tips of optimizing this? I feel like the DPS loss in giving a ranged card to a melee or vice versa is less than me missing GCD's just getting them out, but I could be wrong.
