76 WHM here, going through shadowbringers right now and quickly reaching level cap. I never really reached level cap in MMOs that have decent dungeon/raid content (last game I remember hitting cap in was archeage which, well, is not a pve game) so I don’t really know what progression/the gear treadmill looks like. Once I hit 80, finish msq, etc what kind of content should I be looking at tackling to get better gear and so on and so forth?
As an aside, I definitely want to be a decent player to play with and would absolutely abhor to be one of those shitter nightmare stories that you see in r/shitpostxiv or r/talesfromDF . I’d like to think I do my job decently, I spam holy/glare, keep dia up and keep people from dying (well, typically). Weave in Benison basically on CD and make sure I use virtually all my oGCD heals and lilies before I even think of casting cure or medica spells (although I might be a little conservative with my bene). But I want to make sure I’m doing my best and don’t want to hold back the group unnecessarily. I know dpsers have the balance to focus on perfecting their rotations, but is there some sort of resource for healers to reference to further improve their gameplay? I know WHM isn’t a particularly skill-intensive class but if there’s extra “juice“ I can squeeze out of it, I want to do so.
