Hello! Back at the start of 7.0, I had posted with feedback about the graphics update changes. After the 7.2 update I wanted to come back and make a follow-up post to thank the devs for addressing the underlying cause of the issue I was having. (original post here )
I didn’t know what specifically was causing it when I made the original post, but after I played a little more, I realized it came down to the way eyelids behaved when eye tracking was turned on in gpose - they moved with the eyes much more dramatically than they did pre-7.0. From most angles, this made my viera look like she was squinting too much or closing her eyes in certain emotes. Though I used a free Fantasia to make her eye color darker (and this alleviated the uncanny feeling from the earlier post), the new eyelid behavior continued to bother me. At the same time, I didn't expect it to be fixed - it seemed intentional.
But then the 7.2 update came out. When I tried using /biggrin, I gasped out loud—my girl was smiling like herself again! I was so happy I very nearly cried.
I know I’m probably not the only person who complained about the eyelid issue, and I also know there's probably an equal number of people who are mad that you changed it back. But I’m really thankful that this specific thing was addressed, and I wanted to let you know. It’s a small thing, but it made a huge difference. Thank you!!!
As another note, unrelated - thank you so, so much! For the gpose depth of field changes! Oh my god!!!! I started out playing on console in 2019, and was deeply envious of the kinds of screencaps that people playing on PC could take using post processing tools like reshade. I had been dreaming about better depth of field controls in gpose all these years, while thinking it would never happen…. Thank you so much for adding it!!
Here is a picture I took with the new depth of field. Being able to make something like this just with the options in the gpose menu feels like a dream...!
[Note: I will probably not be reading replies to this post. I just wanted to tell the devs thank you
